  7. cm long). This active predator lived in the
  8. forests and swamps of North America where
  9. prey was abundant. Its hands, with their 3
  10. clawed fingers, were long and strong,
  11. designed for grasping the flesh of small
  12. animals like lizards, flying reptiles and
  13. mammals.
